2012 Elections: International Solidarity, Poor Cousin of French Policy
On March 9 in the forum in the context of the 2012 elections, Bénédicte Hermelin, director of GRET and vice-chair of Coordination SUD, posted on the topic of “International solidarity is dear to the French. What does policy say?” Despite popular support among the French for international solidarity, it is the poor cousin in French policy. The next five-year mandate must be the occasion to put the adoption of a framework law on development cooperation on the agenda of Parliament.
