Voluntary Guidelines for Responsible Governance of Land Tenure Regimes: Major Progress
GRET and the other organizations in the international civil society mechanism for food security and nutrition produced a position paper for the adoption on May 11 of Voluntary Guidelines for responsible governance of land tenure regimes applicable to land, fisheries and forests in the context of national food security. These guidelines were the subject of several years of negotiations between civil society and governments. Today, the civil society organizations involved in the process are convinced that much progress has been made and that advances have been obtained in the field of natural resource governance for food security.
