Salon des solidarités : innovations in international cooperation for drinking water and sanitation
As part of the Salon des Solidarités convention, GRET took part in a round table given by the URD group on June 1 on the subject of “innovations in international cooperation for drinking water and sanitation.” Alongside several other international solidarity organizations, GRET shared several of its experiences in the field (MIREP, AICHA, MEDDEA, RésEau, etc.), emphasizing the social and operational dimensions of the innovations. It notably insisted on the importance of thinking of innovation as a complex process of blending (or grafting) knowledge, organizational modes, technologies, etc. that demands detailed knowledge of the sociopolitical drivers in the local context and requires adjustments based on the lessons learned from projects.
