Cambodia: the agreement on decentralised cooperation between the Hauts-de-Seine department in France and the province of Siem Reap extended to 2021

As part of the renewed agreement on decentralised cooperation between the department of Hauts-de-Seine and the province of Siem Reap, in early March, GRET’s representation in Cambodia welcomed a delegation made up of Isabelle Caullery (vice-president of the Hauts-de-Seine departmental council responsible for International Relations and Cooperation, European Affairs) and Aude Ronsin-Laurenceau (in charge of the International Cooperation department within the same structure).

On 4 March, the delegation – accompanied by Olivier Bruyeron, GRET managing director and Phoeun Kemly, director of the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Commerce – travelled to the villages where the Apici project is working to observe results related to agro-ecology, irrigation, savings and marketing on local markets.

On 7 March, the governor of Siem Reap province, His Excellency Kim Bunsong, reiterated his support for the agricultural projects implemented by GRET and Agrisud, and signed the renewal of the agreement on decentralised cooperation with the Hauts-de-Seine department for a further four years. The French ambassador in Cambodia, Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, also attended.
