Description
Determining sensitive products is one of the most important stakes in the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) negotiations. In support of ECOWAS, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the AFD financed the organisation of a workshop aiming to reflect on the methodology to use for the determination of sensitive products. GRET’s experience with the Senegalese Ministry of Trade on similar stakes, dealing with the determination of special products in the framework of the WTO negotiations, was one of the bases of reflection on methodology in regard to sensitive products. GRET took part in ECOWAS’ meetings on the sensitive product determination process in the framework of the EPA between the European Union and West Africa.
