These three complementary projects are undertaken together with an important in kind support from FAO. A first aspect of the intervention aims at implementing several actions targeting small scale farmers/fishermen toward the restoration of food security and agriculture based livelihoods in most cyclone Nargis affected area in Bogale and Mawlamyinegyun Townships. A second part of the action consists in distributing fishing gears and small wooden craft to needy households affected by Cyclone Nargis, enabling them to resume fishing activities as means of livelihood support. The third part aims at conducting training (Farmers Extension Groups) involving small scale farmers on Crop Management over the rainy season 2009, toward the restoration of food security and agriculture based livelihoods in the two townships.
