Since 1996, GRET has been active in Benin with rural and urban development projects.
In 2010, the World Bank’s research department prepared an impact assessment on Rural Land Plans (RLPs), a process used to record local land rights in rural areas in Benin. In 2010, to prepare the strategy for this assessment and the questionnaires, it called on GRET’s experience with RLPs to provide critical feedback on the impact assessment’s assumptions and propose lines of inquiry.
