Under the supervision of a steering committee made up of the principal land tenure specialists in the various disciplines concerned (socio-anthropology, tenure legislation, economics, etc.), GRET is coordinating and conducting this study which mobilised approximately forty researchers and aims to provide a comprehensive view of land tenure in sub-Saharan Africa. Organising and running a regional seminar attended by 25 researchers and experts from French- and English-speaking West Africa. GRET is the delegated contract manager for this seminar, which was co-organised with and the legal and political sciences department of the University Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis (Senegal), with the collaboration of IIED (the International Institute for Environment and Development, London). This seminar resulted in a publication.
