On 10 April, Coordination SUD will hold a reflection workshop to mark the publication of a study entitled “How to make my governance more agile? An examination of 15 governance models”. GRET will be among the organisations questioned in this study.
Working in the international solidarity sector requires French NGOs to be able to evolve in complex, changing environments. Governance stakeholders in these situations have the heavy responsibility of driving change, if necessary, and ensuring their missions are properly conducted. To date, there are four major issues at the core of French NGOs’ governance:
- How to create and maintain dynamic operation in ones governance?
- What role to give to stakeholders in developing countries in governance bodies and decision-making processes?
- What other forms of governance to adopt, apart from the status of association, to conduct one’s missions effectively and make the association sustainable (foundations, etc.)?
- What new forms of collaboration are emerging between elected representatives and staff?
There will be collective reflection on these subjects, based on the presentation of the study entitled “How to make my governance more agile?”, conducted by Isabelle Hoyaux and Stéphane Montier. Tuesday 10 April 2018 from 2 pm to 6 pm (venue to be confirmed).
