| In the North as in
the South, most small farmers and inhabitants of poor neighbourhoods in
cities do not benefit from globalisation, but instead see their access to
markets and food deteriorate. Our activities are oriented around major stakes:
food security for the poorest populations (and infants in particular), the
development of agricultural and food processing supply and distribution
chains that value territories and biodiversity, and networking food processing
sector stakeholders. Our approach is to define and implement effective systems
in the field to provide economic operators (producers, entrepreneurs) with
support, in close partnership with local practitioners. We also lead research
programmes on the sector dynamics and food processing enterprises. |
