The Media
Status Report (MSR): A new source of information for network members.
The network secretariat has launched a new service for its
members in the form of detailed reports on the media in specific
African countries. The goal of the reports is to provide network
members with up-to-date, detailed country reports on the media.
Each report contains information on the main stakeholders, types
of donor support and suggestions for future action. These reports
provide directions for future donor activities and facilitate
the identification of projects. (They are not intended to take
the place of feasibility studies for specific activities.)
The network secretariat coordinates the production of the reports
(approximately 10 pages each) by calling upon on local consultants
who, in addition to carrying out research and writing the reports,
provide regular updates on media activities in their countries.
