Projet

SKY proposes inclusive health insurance coverage to families of formal and informal sector, mainly in rural zones. Benefit package includes primary health care and hospitalization (with third payment mechanism). Since 2008 the project entered a phase of extension, covering presently the whole Takeo Province and part of Phnom Penh. As of November 2011, SKY covers more than 70,078 people in partnership with about a hundred public health facilities, from rural health center to national hospital. SKY management team counts 126 salaried persons.
SKY is testing a partnership with a Health Equity Fund (a social fund giving free access to health care for people leaving beyond the poverty line). By November 2011 more than 18,000 persons are covered through this fund. Moreover SKY is running a Safe Motherhood Program with GIZ support.
SKY is part of the CBHI schemes acknowledged in the National Master Plan for Social Protection of Ministry of Health.
