Sustainable Livelihood and Natural Resources management in 5 townships of the Northern Chin State

In five townships in northern Chin State, Gret in partnership with Corad (local NGO under legaliza- tion process) contributes to reduction of poverty and of food insecurity for 4750 families, which are organized into more than one hundred village-based producer groups.

 

The expected results are as follows: - 4,750 families have improved their knowledge and their ability to innovate by introducing friendly farming techniques'' s environment, this for the purpose of diversification and intensification of agricultural production - at least 4,072 families have increased their access to productive resources (land, water) and diversified their income through the implementation of joint projects of land development and collective farm managed by producer groups - At least four organizations involved in development Northern Chin State have intensified their co- operation at the level of local community organizations and at least 7 development organizations have jointly in network activities to strengthen their organizational and operational capacity, par- ticularly in formulating strategies appropriate response and the efficient implementation of inter- ventions.
