Land tenure policy debates have long neglected the diverse forms of temporary delegation of rights that make up, however, considerable stakes in land dynamics and insecurity problems. Carried out in collaboration with IIED, the scientific support of IRD, and the participation of researchers from French- and English-speaking West Africa, this research project is based on 10 case studies. The final research report and a summary, co-edited by GRET and IIED, were published in 2002. |

Environmental interventions must start with the way in which local societies visualise and manage their milieu. This meeting aims to take stock of society-nature relations and de-compartmentalise research and intervention reflections. The proceedings were published in 1998 (Sociétés rurales et environnement, Karthala/GRET/Regards). |
