Through its Alliance for learning agroecology project (Alisea), GRET will be associated for the first time ever with the Luang Prabang film festival, which will take place in Laos from 8 to 13 December. For the occasion, a short film competition focusing on young people and agroecology is being launched. Three films selected by a jury, plus the film having received the most “likes” and shares on Facebook, will receive awards and will be screened at various venues in Luang Prabang during the festival.
As part of the festival, and with a view to raising the awareness of visitors on these subjects, GRET has organised an agroecology market and knowledge fair, which will take place on 9 and 10 December in the gardens of the French Institute in Luang Prabang. This event aims to facilitate meetings with organic farmers, learn from their know-how and enable visitors to buy their products. Other NGOs and some social businesses will also be present to share their experiences.
