On 22 May, GRET will participate in the 1st technical forum entitled “Challenges, stakeholders, technical solutions, strategies and outlooks for off-grid electrification in developing countries” co-organised by Metrol consultants (in French only) and NGO Energies pour le monde (Fondem) (in French only).
Today, photovoltaic systems are technologically mature and economically affordable to support the development of interconnected areas. The objective of this first forum on “Decentralised rural electrification using photovoltaic systems” is to review technical aspects, evolutions, levers and constraints in areas that are not interconnected, and to characterise the French private sector offer concerning autonomous electricity production systems and their multiple applications: pico-photovoltaic, photovoltaic kits, hybrid systems, mini-grids, connected systems, and comprehensive rural electrification solutions. GRET will be participating in the round table reserved for NGOs working in the area of energy in developing countries.
22 May 2018 – 9 am to 6 pm – Valpré – Lyon (Ecully).
Programme will follow.
